New Home, No Surprises
By Robert Davis
Are you thinking about moving into a new home?
Whether you’re preparing to start a family or just want to relocate to a more comfortable space, finding the right property can be a daunting task. In addition to selecting a design and a floor plan that you like, you also have to think about structural issues, toxic substances, and even potential weather damage.
Although it might be tempting to sign a mortgage as quickly as possible and start the moving process, it makes much more sense to invest in a thorough home inspection first. We take great pride in offering our customers comprehensive home inspections. When we’re on site, no stone goes left unturned.
Radon, mold, meth, and mildew testing. Radon, mold, meth, and mildew are all extremely hazardous to respiratory and neurological health. Unfortunately, many of these substances can hide within the walls and foundations of a structure without ever making their presence known. Using state-of-the-art tools and equipment, we’ll check every crack, cranny, and nook for potential threats.
Foundational issues. The foundation is the backbone of any building. If termites or natural erosion have caused a foundation to sink or buckle, we’ll be the first to know. In some cases, foundations can be repaired, but it’s often an extensive and costly process. Accessing critical information like this prior to buying can help you avoid throwing all of your money into a pit.
Roof inspections. Roofs protect us from the elements, but they’re also exposed to wind, water, and the sun’s harsh UV rays. An inefficient roof can jack up utility costs and make your home inefficient. We make sure to thoroughly inspect this area, too.
Don’t rush through the home buying process. Take your time and make sure you’re getting the best deal possible. We can assist you in this very process; call us today to learn more. (410) 886-7000
