Whether you are on well water or public water, we always recommend that you have your water tested prior to purchasing your new home and annually there after. Your water can spend time in some unsavory places. Well water can become contaminated with bacteria from septic leaching and with nitrates from farming runoff. Your public water can spend days sitting in dirty pipes and may become contaminated with Lead or Arsenic. We will sample your water using the standards emplaced by the MD Department of The Environment and send it to a certified lab for testing. Your water will be tested for Arsenic and Lead (contamination from pipes), Coliform and E.Coli (contamination from sewage/septic leaching) and finally, Nitrate and Nitrite (harmful farming runoff). Normal processing for water results can take up to 8 business days to receive. Ensure your water is safe for your family by having it tested by Hometown Inspections.
